Welcome to my Website! I'm running for U.S. Congress in the 1st Congressional District in Pennsylvania. I'm the endorsed Republican candidate. My opponent is the incumbent, Democratic Congressman Bob Brady.
Why am I running? Maya Angelou, the poet, once said if there’s a book you want to read that hasn’t been written, you must write it. My job is to write that book. It's to write the book on improving the lives of those who live in the 1st Congressional District -- one of the poorest in the country. It's disgraceful and embarrassing that my opponent has not significantly improved the condition of the residents of the district in the 14 years he has served. That's just unacceptable. We need a change in direction, and we need it now!
I’m used to overcoming tremendous odds. At age 7, I was thrown from a horse and almost died. As a consequence, I was unable to breathe through my mouth or nose. For 13 years, I had a tracheotomy. Every specialist told me I’d never be able to breathe normally again. I never accepted that sentence. I finally found an otorhinolaryngologist who cured me. What I learned was to never, ever give up. And that’s why I have the faith and courage to run for U.S. Congress despite the odds against me.
